Home (Sort of)

My room in the knew apartment is almost done. All that needs to go in is the furniture, and the statues on them. I have a table in my room for the T.V. (Dad said I could have the broken T.V.). A few boxes with action figures, and my shelving for toys. I put all my stuffed animals on the shelving though. They take up a lot of space. I didn't realize how much I had. I like soft stuff and they're soft, when I see them I want to have something soft, and they piled up over the years.

The girl who was at the apartment before us put up fans on the lights. Mine works really well. Gets the air circulating (my mom and dad's is broken, pays off for the T.V.). She also left flower pot hangers in my room, the living room, and the porch. I hung three bats from the one in my room. The one in the living room I hung small plush snowmen. I bought them at a school sale. I have I think eight in the collection. Only six were in the box that me and my mom took with us to the apartment.

Mom and I have taking a car load of stuff to the apartment every day for two or three days. We were going to tomorrow but Mom has to work at 11:00 and it takes us about an hour to get everything in and set up in the right room. Then we hang out for a while because I think the apartment is really cool. The assistant manager says that our apartment is the biggest in the building. Along with two others. Were on the inside corner which means the apartment wraps around the building giving us more space.

Mom and me are very excited about this. We always love going over there. Mom just needs a little break tomorrow before work, that's why she probably won't go. If she sleeps well she said we can do a small trip.

As I have said we are very excited, except for Dad. He has to be negative about this.

Apartments

We signed the lease for the apartment! Mom and Dad didn't want to because it was taking them so long to get back to us. we wanted to sign it almost two weeks ago! We went through a lot of papers and got the keys. I took along a tape measure to measure my room to see if my stuff would fit. My mom said that if she does not get called into work on the sixth we can start taking stuff over. My mom reserved movers for us on the eleventh I think it was and that is when we should be moving in.

We had a pretty bad storm last night. We didn't have to go to the basement but the rain was blowing up against our house causing a lot of noise. Mom got home a little late because the storm started when her store closed. There was nothing on the news so I just watched movies while Dad slept in the other room.

Sixth Sax Lesson

I had my sixth sax lesson. We are now almost all the way through the book! One more lesson and we should be all the way through it. When we got to the lesson all the rooms were taken so we spent five minutes looking for a room. Then we finally went out side to do the lesson.

We went through the songs pretty easily. I squeaked on a few G's, but we fixed that up pretty well. He was amazed at the amount of practice again (about as much as last week).

Me and Dad went out today to buy the second book. When we got there we bought a Drag'n Swab. The person there said it was their best sax cleaning product. You put it through the sax and pull it back and forth through it. We also bought a stand.

Not writing much because nothing is happening. We have been approved by the apartments, but we still can't move in.

Fort

In the confusion of packing I decided to build a fort using all the boxes around the house. It started out as just two rows of boxes moved apart to make a hallway like space. My mom came home and thought nothing of some boxes with a blanket covering it.

There is three boxes in one row and on the left side I took the last one up against the wall away. Then I moved it next to a huge pile of boxes to create one room, and two hallways. When Mom came home and saw that she started to think something was up. I said "The room's a mess anyway. It doesn't look any different except for the blankets."

After that I moved my fort to the second pile on the other side of the room. Now I had the part before and a bigger room. By now the fort covered a whole side of the living room wall.

Then I used the second pile to make another room. Now my fort covers about 60% of the living room. I have a kitchen where I put snacks. A T.V. and a space where I can sleep in peace with my cat who also has a bed in the so called 'bedroom'.

Here is the tour of my fort.

This is what it looks like to enter through the first hallway. The one that I made first. It might be hard to see because were having a storm and it's getting dark out and this is right next to a window. The first one looks like it's bright out, but inside it's dark.

This is the first room that I made where I hid from my mom when she came home. Strait ahead is the room with the T.V. and to the left is the second entrance.

This is the second entrance. The first does not have a blanket covering it because I used that one for another room. This is from inside, the other entrance was from outside.

I mad this one brighter because we're getting farther away from the window and using blankets to cover the fort. That blocks out the light. This is the T.V. room. The this in the middle is supporting the roof. The black thing to the left of that is the T.V. In the top left corner you can see the kitchen. You might not be able to make it out, but there are a few snacks there. To the left is the 'bedroom'.

I like to call this room the 'Dark Room'. I call it that because it is very dark. I brightened the picture a lot so I could see it. If you have a computer screen that is brighter, this might be really bright. Our computer is dieing and everything is dark. To the left is where I made a little bed for the cat.

This is probably very hard to see. I took this one inside the dark room. You might not be able to tell what this is so I will tell you. It is two boxes stacked on top of each other with one in front of it. It's basically a chair made out of three boxes. I made it for the cat. He hasn't gone on it let. In fact he doesn't even know that there is other room to the fort. I added the dark room today and the cat hasn't gone in it since then.

This concludes our tour.

Fifth Sax Lesson

I haven't been writing much lately. In fact I don't think I wrote anything last week. Now I have something to write about. My fifth sax lesson.

When we got there my teacher was waiting inside the doorway. We went inside to start the lesson and when he saw how much I practiced, this is what he said "....................."
I practiced forty minutes one day, one hundred and forty the next, then one hundred, then twenty five. Can you believe that last day?

The practice went really well. The first few songs that I played had little or no error. Then a song with mostly G's. My bad note. He gave me the next level of reed and that cleared up the errors. He said he told a lot of other teachers about me and they were jealous.

My teacher finally got a tenor sax. He said his was in the shop and that he couldn't get it until they fixed it. So yesterday he finally got it. He said he hadn't played it for about ten years, but all saxes are the same, just in a different key.

More Music

I said yesterday I would try to get some songs onto my blog. They're a little late, but here they are.

This song is the one I said on an older post that I played for my teacher. It is the one on the last page. This is Grant Us Peace.

This song when I played it for my teacher said I played it way to fast. Now that I listen to the songs I think I might of played them all to fast. This is Ming Court.

This song I played almost perfect, but my dad was recording me. At the end of this one there is a rest. The song goes longer, but my dad stopped it after the rest. I wasn't able to get the second part and the first part, so here is the first. This is the song that I suggested I play to my teacher. I hope you like Sawmill Creek Part 1.

Packing has been stressful, but we finally got my room done. We have about 80% done I'd say. Today when we were finishing off my room my mom got angry, but I didn't get angry back. This has been a stressful time for us.

Fourth Sax Lesson

I had my fourth sax lesson. It went really well We started out by trying to find out where the back round squeaks were coming from. We adjusted my mouthpiece and the squeaks were gone. I played out of the assigned pages from the book and we worked on dynamics. That is how loud or soft you play.

We finished the first half of the book and at the middle is three songs. I asked if he wanted me to play them (I will try to post one of them tomorrow) and I played along with the computer. What the computer does is take in your notes then with a red or green color says if you made the notes right. I got most and I played a second one and got most again.

My teacher was going through the book and I said that I didn't know how to play the higher notes at first so I practiced out of the back where lower notes were. He said he wanted to hear it and I played him Grant Us Peace which my band teacher said was the hardest song in the book. I will try to bring that one up tomorrow on a post. When I was done he said "This is what happens when you practice forty minutes a day four days a week!"

I don't mean to brag, but he was very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very impressed with my playing. He said "If only some of me other student could hear you play!" Then I said "Well, you could record it." Then we started to laugh (I don't know why).

This practice went very well. I can tell (and so can my parents) that my teacher is very impressed. He said after I played the song from the back "I don't know what to say!"

My teacher went to one of the stores that sells music and he bought the Pink Panther which is from a movie we really like. We paid him $5 for it and today I am going to try and play it. We watched one of the movies last night so I could get a feel for the song.

Apartment

We found an apartment to live in. Yesterday (July 8) we went to the apartment and town house place. We were able to see a two bedroom apartment on the first floor. That one was O.K. Then we asked if we could see the two bathroom two bedroom apartment on the third floor. We wern't supposed to see that until today, but the person living said we could if we didn't mind the mess. Our house is a mess already so it didn't matter. That one was cool. It had a nice kitchen space and the living room space was incredible. The deck was more sturdy that the first we looked at a few weeks ago. The lights in the bedrooms had little fans on them. The assistant manager said that those would probably stay with the apartment when the person living there moved.

It only had one phone outlet from what we could see so that puts our computer in the living room (which is where it would have been without the outlet in that spot). The bedrooms were a nice size. Enough to put all my dragon statues in. The two bathrooms were right across from the rooms. So we could do what we do now. I have my bathroom (which is the biggest) and Mom and Dad have theirs. My bathroom didn't look like it had a toilet but it was hiding behind the door.

My mom and dad's room had a walk-in closet. All the rooms have a small walk-in closet, but that one had enough room for four people!

We went down to the office and I got to watch game shows on T.V. Mom and Dad talked a bit with the assistant manager and we locked down that apartment. That means it is ours. We also got two garages for our cars and storage.

There are few other things that come into play, but we'll deal with those when the time comes.

Cool Statues

Our family used to (kind of still do) own a home company. We would go to craft shows and people would buy stuff we bought from catalogs. We don't go to the craft shows anymore, but we still get the catalogs.

Yesterday (July 7) we got another catalog. We always look in them because we want to see if there is anything cool in them. I always find the myth and legend part cool (you'll see why a paragraph down). My mom always likes the cowboy section with the horses (she's a horse person). I don't know what my dad likes best.

In the myth and legend section there is always the dragons. I love dragons. I have a bunch of dragon statues in my room (not as many as liked though). The catalog had some really cool ones that Dad said when we find where we are going to move to we might be able to order some. I scanned the pictures into the computer of the ones I really want. They're are other ones I would love to have, but these I think are really cool.

I don't know if your computers will be able to see these very well. Ours can't.

Black Dragon Table. About two feet high.

Jim Meets Willy Part 4

This is the last part of Jim Meets Willy. Either later today or tomorrow I will try to post songs that I can play on the sax.

Jim Meets Willy
Part 4
Strange Ending

Jim, Willy, and Merlin watched the paint can roll away and it didn't even leave a mark on the window. They looked out the window and a camera was filming them.

"Were on T.V!" yelled Jim.

"As you can see at this strange time, a wolverine, wolf, and over sized meerkat are trapped in a store trying to steal paint," said a news crewman.

"They're talking about us!" said Willy.

"Were you the runt of the litter?" asked Jim.

"Yes."

"Of course they're talking about us!"

"The police are on their way to arrest these criminals. I have no idea why. All they want is a simple can of paint it looks like," said the news crewman.

The police got there and they broke down the door and came running in with their guns. They started yelling and grabbed the animals.

"We got them," said a policeman into a two way radio.

Jim bit the man's hand and he dropped the animals. Jim,Willy, and Merlin ran out the door after Merlin grabbed the can of paint. The news crew stepped in front and the animals ran under their legs. The news crew stopped the police men and tried to interview them.

Jim, Willy, and Merlin got away. They ran back to the road outside the interweb cave.

"Hay! I have to get back home!" said Willy.

"Wait! There's the car!" said Merlin.

They ran onto the road to make the car stop. It kept coming and it rolled right over Jim and Willy. Merlin jumped to the side.

When the car past Jim said, "Not the most friendly one there."

"Hay another one! It must be a convoy," said Jim.

"Convoy!" Willy sang, and he started to sing the convoy song.

"Don't do that," said Jim.

This time the car stopped when they got on the road. Merlin stayed where he was when the car stopped. Jim and Willy got the paint and ran to the drivers side of the car.

"Now," said Willy, "How do we open it?"

"Is your brother's name Sam?" asked Jim.

"Yes."

"Like this," said Jim as he unsheathed one claw and opened the can like a can opener.

"Oooo," said Willy.

They grabbed a bunch of blades of grass and dipped them in. They started to paint the car. Merlin was being chased by the driver who was trying to get him off the road. He actually picked Merlin up and threw him into the grass. He went back to get in the car and fainted at the sight of a wolverine and wolf painting the side of his car red.

After the finished painting the car red they stepped back to look at their work.

"Not the prettiest sight on the planet," said Willy.

"Are the back of your ears brown?" asked Jim.

"Yes."

"It looks perfect! Take away the dripping and that we covered the windows. And the label on one side. And filled the gas pipe in the back with paint. And now the paint is drying over the doors so he won't be able to get in. Take away all that and it's perfect!"

"I need to get back home. We're having steak and we need some steak and my parents are taking me hunting," said Willy as he turned and went back home.

"Well, I say this day was a success," said Merlin as they were going back to the cave.

Third Sax Lesson

I had my third sax lesson. We got there today about the time it was supposed to start (we left late). The room we were supposed to have the lesson in was under construction so it took us a few minutes to find a room. When we did we talked for about two minutes and my mom said I had got up and started walking around the house a little one day playing (which I did). The teacher said maybe we could play standing up so I had my lesson standing up.

I played flawless until the G's came around. The G is the only note I have trouble with. We did a little bit of tightening stuff and some trial and error. We finally got so I don't make as may mistakes.

My dad said that we wanted to buy sheet music and he said that he got a teacher discount so we could ask him to get our music.

Jim Meets Willy Part 3

This is the third part to this story. I will have four parts total in this one. I am going to post again today at about 4:00 because it is my third sax lesson.

Jim Meets Willy

Part 3
Trapped

"Jim," said Willy, "We forgot to get the paint to paint the car."

"Were you kicked by a crow?" said Jim.

"Yes. It was a stra-"

"You were supposed to remind me to get paint! Now we have to go all the way to the store to get it."

Jim, Willy, and Merlin headed off to the store that had paint. It was a little weird watching them going through town. It was getting close to night, but there were still a lot of people out there. A news crew even came to film a wolf, wolverine, and overly sized meerkat running through town.

They passed a store with T.V.s in the window and the channel was on the news.

"Hay! Were on T.V!" said Jim.

They walked a little farther and by now all the stores were closed and all the people were gone. They got to the paint store and they saw a sign that said closed.

"Now what do we do?" asked Jim leaning up against the door to the store.

The store manager opened the door sending Jim flying away. The manager turned around to lock the door as it was closing. Willy, Jim, and Merlin ran inside just in time. The manager locked the door and went away.

"Did an eagle mistake you for her baby when you were born?" asked Jim.

"Yes," said Willy.

"You were supposed to block the door with your body! Now we're trapped in here!" yelled Jim.

"But you never said t-"

"That was the plan! It's not my fault you can't mind read."

The animals walked through the store and they found the paint at the back end of the store. On the top shelf. Ten feet in the air.

"How do we get that?" asked Willy.

Jim got an evil look on his face and looked at Willy.

"Almost there!" yelled Jim as Willy was climbing up the shelves.

"Ah!" yelled Willy as the shelf tumbled over and Jim and Merlin ran away.

"Willy?" said Merlin.

"Here," said Willy coming out from under the shelf covered in red paint, "I found the red."

Merlin grabbed a can of red paint and they ran to the front of the store.

"How do we get out?" asked Willy.

"Did you sleep in hay the night you were born?" asked Jim.

"Yes," said Willy.

"We throw a can of paint at the window," said Merlin in a muffled voice because he was holding the paint in his mouth.

They came up to the window and got on a table to throw the paint at the window.

"AH!" yelled everybody as they held the paint in their paws and tossed it at the window.

Clunk clunk clunk. The paint hit the window and fell back on the floor.

"Oh," said Jim.

Happy Fourth of July (Day Late)

Yesterday was the Fourth of July! I forgot to say that yesterday. I'll just say that the story I posted yesterday was a Fourth of July present. As a present saying I'm sorry (even though the only ones who come to my blog don't celebrate Fourth of July) I'll continue the story today, instead of later this week.

Jim Meets Willy
Part2
Disaster

Willy ran home (with difficulty running over rocks and falling ten times) and told his parents all about Jim, Merlin, and the interweb. His Mom and Dad laughed and said that Jim was awesomely cool. Willy told them he wanted to go back tomorrow and they said he could if he didn't stay for the whole day. They were going hunting because they wanted steak for supper and they were out.

Willy woke up to the sound of Skreeiik!!! A dieing pig was crawling outside. He went and grabbed it when it was dead and told his parents he caught a pig so they could have pork. Willy went back to sleep and a dieing pig did not come again.

"Willy!" said Jim.

Willy woke up and it was still dark out and he saw Jim running toward him.

"How did you know where I live?" asked Willy.

"Was your dad friends with a yak?"

"Yes."

"You told me! When we were walking home. I followed you to make sure you didn't lie."

"Why would I lie?"

"Was your mom friends witha goat?"

"Yes."

"What if you didn't want me to know where you lived! Quick it's an emergency!"

"What?"

"Did it rain while you were being born?"

"Yes."

"It's the Auto Part Specialist Cars!"

Willy got up and ran after Jim who was leading him to the interweb cave. They got to the cave in about ten minutes and Merlin was there watching objects in a square.

"What's that?" asked Willy.

"Is your middle name raccoon?"

"Yes."

"That's the T.V!"

They walked over to the T.V. and on it was the 5 Eye Witness News crew interviewing someone in a car.

"That's the Auto Parts car," said Merlin to Willy.

"What's the big deal?" asked Willy.

"When you were born did you come out tail first?" asked Jim.

"Yes."

"We've seen the commercial for this car millions of times! Auto Parts Specialist! Were the guys in the little red trucks," Jim sang.

"Oh! Those cars are BLUE!" said Willy.

"AND! There convertibles," said Merlin.

"What do we do?" asked Willy.

"Did you get woken up by a dieing pig?" asked Jim.

"Yes! Jus-"

"We paint them. That'll solve half the problem."

Merlin changed the channel on the T.V. to a game show called Wipeout. Wipeout is about people going through obstacle courses and falling and injuring themselves. They only watched it because it was about people doing that and they thought it was real. They watched for two hours with nonstop Willy asking questions and then Jim asking the questions and the answer was always yes before they went to solve the problem (It was a two episode day).

They ran outside and stopped next to a road.

"Now," said Jim, "We wait."

"For what?" asked Willy.

"Did you eat a dandelion on the way here?" asked Jim.

"Yes."

"The Auto Parts Specialist cars!"

Jim Meets Willy.

I had this idea when I bought the stuffed animals at the zoo that I could make stories with them. I got a wolverine, wolf, and meercat. I got the idea on the way home and made up stories with them. Here is the first.

Jim Meets Willy

Willy the Wolf walked through the forest. He stumbled around because he hadn't been born for very long. He came across a strange creature. It was brown with brighter color stripes along it's back.

"Hey man!" it said.

"What?" Willy asked.

"I said hey man!"

"Do you have to say man at the end of every sentence?"

"No man."

"Is all you can say hey man and no man?"

"No man."

"Why do you say man?"

"Were you born yesterday?"

"Yes I was."

"Saying man at the end of every sentence is in this month!"Come over here? Have you heard of the interweb yet?" he asked in a whisper.

"No, what is it?"

"Were you born in a barn?"

"Yes."

"Everyone knows what the interweb is!"

"Come. everyone has to see the interweb sometime in their life." said the brown creature as it walked away toward the interweb cave.

"What are you?" asked Willy as they were walking.

"Did you walk into a wall when you were born?"

"Yes."

"I'm Jim! The Wolverine!"

They came to the interweb cave after a few minutes of walking and Willy was having trouble because he barely knew how to walk. The cave was about as tall as a full grown man (six feet). It was about ten feet across. They went inside and there were three things in there that Willy had never seen.

"What's this?" asked Willy looking at at a square on a table with a rectangle in front of it.

"Was the first thing you sniffed a tobacco plant?"

"Yes."

"That's the interweb!"

Jim clicked with his mouse and came to a website called http://wolverined.blogspot.com/.

What's that?" asked Willy.

"Did a bee fly into your face? That's only the best website on the face of the world!"

"Yes. Ah!" screamed Willy as a meercat came in from the shadows.

"That's only Merlin." said Jim.

"Oh , oh I know this one. Merlin is that magical man that is a wizard!" said Willy.

Jim looked at willy with a bored face and said "Was the first thing you licked mud?"

"Yes."

"That's a meercat! Merlin the man was a HUMAN!"

"This w-webs-site is cool! Can I stay here forever?"

"Nope. Your going to have to go home. Come back tomorrow and I will teach you the ways of the T.V."

"What's a T.V?"

"Did you trip over a log?"

"Yes."

"That's tomorrows lesson."

Minnesota Zoo

We went to the Mn Zoo for my mom's birthday. In the morning when we all got up we gave my mom a unicorn statue. We saw it at a garage sale and Mom really liked it, but she didn't buy it. Me and my dad went back later and bought. She confessed she saw it when we were moving boxes, but the only harm in that was we didn't get to see the look of surprise on her face.

We got to the zoo around 10:30 and stayed until 5:00. The line to get in was the longest we have ever seen on this day (we come ever year on my mom's birthday). The wait was only about five minutes though. We paid $66 to get in!Most of that was because adult payment to get in is so high and we bought tickets to see a dinosaur movie. T-rex! We started by seeing monkeys and going to the Africa exhibit where they have the bears. We came to a bridge after a while and Mom noticed there were shower sprayers there. I spent about five minutes spraying my self with them. When I was done I was soaked!

When we got to a spot where we could either go to the farm, or the Minnesota Trail we picked the Minnesota Trail and that meant more walking. The wolf exhibit we don't get much excitement out of because the wolves are always hiding. This time though they running around less then a foot away from the glass! We got some pictures, but it was hard because they were moving so fast.

It was a nice day and we were having a nice time until, we got to the Minnesota Trail. That was a amazing. We had asked at the gift shop near the from if they had and wolverines. They didn't even know what a wolverine was! They said they had two after calling a few places and they said it was at the Minnesota Trail. We got there and the closest thing to a wolverine was a wolf. We got that and a huge Mere Cat that was half off with any purchase.

The Trail was cool! The raccoon in the beginning was hiding behind a pile of logs and running out. Then going back behind the logs. The first few animals after that were normal then cam the wolverines. At first I was disappointed because this was what I was looking forward to and the wolverine was sleeping. I walked back to Mom and Dad and when we came back he was running around. We got some good pictures then we rounded the corner there were more wolverines! There were three more and they were posing for us! We must of took twenty pictures of the wolverines. That was probably the most fun part of the trip.We can't see the pictures I took because the digital camera I was using card got full.

At 3:10 the movie was going to play so we left from where we were and got in line first. I went over to the third and final gift shop. Guess what I found. A wolverine! The people gave us the wrong gift shop. Mom was annoyed because we spent $45 on stuffed toys.

The movie was in 3-D. The movie was only forty minutes long so we didn't expect it to be great. It was good but there was not point. A girl was lost in a museum and she kept thinking she was going back in time to the dinosaur ages. My favorite character was a kitten that looked like our cat.

After seeing all the animals we headed home and overall I would say it was a good day. Don't think that was all that we did there though. I didn't put all the details in because that would take to long. I just put in the high lights.

I recorded a few more songs on my saxophone.

This song is called Grandfather's Whiskers. It took awhile, but I can now play it pretty close to perfect.

This song is called Ronde. This was one of the first i could play. Now I can play it really good.

With packing we almost have the basement done now. Mom is working fast because when she gets two jobs she won't be home as much.

Mom has now got two jobs! She will have a total of over twenty five hours which is all we need to get into an apartment. Mom hasn't actually got the twenty to thirty hour job yet, but the way they were acting she is pretty sure that by next week we can get an apartment.

Second Sax Lesson

I had my second saxophone lesson. As I said, I am writing about it right after we got home from it. It's a little late because the internet was running slow, but it is still up the same day.

We got there once again about twenty minutes early. The teacher had just finished his other lesson so we got to go in early. I started to play and after a while of trial and error, we got most if not all the squeaks out. He had me sit up straight. Position my mouth not so far on the reed, and tighten my mouth more. He also said that I could put electrical tape on the mouth piece, that would put less pain on my teeth.

After that it sounded beautiful. I didn't want to stop when the songs or lesson was over. I think tomorrow, or later, I will be putting up more of my songs from the book. At the lessons we're getting pretty far. Some of the songs I'm playing sound really cool.

He I don't think knows though that I have been playing the advanced songs with exceptional sound.

My dad says (my mom wasn't there, at work) that it sounds beautiful when I play.

We finished my play room today in packing. We finally got everything out. Now all we have to do is the ten other rooms. I think we're doing well. We have a few rooms with boxes all around. It looks like we have done a lot.

Weekly Video or Song

Unless people complain I am going to stop making the Weekly Video or Song post because I forget to so it sometimes, and it's hard to find good stuff sometimes. The other reason is our computer is going slower and Dad thinks it's because of youtube partly.

Bored Bored Boooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrred

Still nothing is happening. It least on Thursday It will be my mom's birthday. We are going once again (that's not a bad thing) to the Minnesota Zoo. For a present I got my mom this cool unicorn starue we found at a garage sale. My mom was the one that found it, but she didn't buy it.

I took a test I found on Earwen's blog, What Inkheart Character Are You? This is the character it gave me. I have no idea who he is. The site told me his name is Bluejay. It said i am brave and am willing to help people at any cost.

Not much going on today either. Tomorrow is my second sax lesson and I will try to write about it when I get home (around 4:00).

Early Morning

Today I got up at 6:00. That's a big difference considering I usually get up from 8:00 to 9:00. It is raining. Pouring almost. The wind is blowind hard and it was blowing right into my window. I couldn't get back to sleep so I was able to come down early when no one was awake and make a post.

That didn't last long. Dad came down and he didn't say I had to get off, but I did.

My mom's job official closed. She went back to return her keys and get another check. Her first one bounced.

We are doing a little more packing bit by bit. Still over all, this week has been extremely boring.

The three bedroomed apartment we wanted to rent already got rented. The two we also looked at though will probably be open. There was also a two bathroomed that we want for $70 more, and two people were going to look at it, but we still want that one.

We think we will be moving to the apartments where we are looking. It's just that we haven't found one there yet.

A Playlist

My dad said that he thought Earwen had a cool blog and sugested for me to go there. I did and he was right. She has all this fantasy stuff on it and I love fantasy. I heard music playing when I went to it and thought nothing of it. I came near the bottom of her blog and saw a playlist. That was the cause of the music. I love music so I clicked on the create a playlist button.

You have to sign up, but you can get a lot of music on to your blog. All you have to so is sign up for it at playlist.com.Now I'm able to go to my blog and listen to my favorite songs. Then I create a new tab and I can do anything and still listen to it.

Me and my dad think it's very cool. If Earwen is reading this, thank you for the awsome idea!

I am going to spend the whole day bringing songs onto my playlist.

Packing and Shopping

Today for me was a stressful day in the morning. Only because once again we were doing packing. At first it's O.K. but then seeing all the stuff you have and are putting in to boxes stresses me out. We are doing very well though on the packing. We are amost done with my play room that has most of my toys.

My mom and dad went shopping to buy a movie, get some boxes, (the ones Dad bought the other day were WAY to big) and return a cooler. I get to spend to some time on the computer now. I like it when I can, not because I'm some kid who only knows how to have fun when he's on the computer, but because I barely ever go on the internet. Dad is always on it.

Not much to say about today. Nothing has happened for a while. Not everyday can be exciting.

Polly Woolly Doodle and Country Dance

I have recorded some of my playing on the saxophone and brought it on to youtube.com.

The first tune is the melody to Polly Woolly Doodle. We took some of the pictures we got from zoos and used them for the backround. I sugested a saxophone, but dad put these in.

The next song is not very long. Shorter than the first. I hope you like Country Dance. The same goes for the pictures as for the first.

There are a few other songs I can play, but Dad said I had to play them as best as I could before bringing them to youtube. Some of the more advanced songs I can play, but with a mistake every now and then.

Today me, my dad, and Mom are all pooped out because we took a long bike ride in the morning. It was 80 degrees which wasn't problem, we were going fast enough we had a breeze blowing on us. The distance wasn't a problem either. The problem was that there were three huge hills. We were all tired after those hills. I had a good idea to put water from our water bottles all over our heads. That was a breeze!

First Sax Lesson

I had my first saxophone lesson last night at 6:30. We arrived early because the traffic wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. I got to ask the teacher how to play the higher notes. It turned out it was what I thought it was, I was just doing it wrong.

We were able to change the lessons to 3:00 so now I will be able to write about them when I get home (unless Dad won't let me).

He asked me first what i could do, and because I couldn't play the higher notes I told him I couldn't play the beginning pages. That was soon resolved. He told me what the button was I had to push, and it turns out I was sitting wrong. He told me that I had to practice tonging.

We went through the first few pages of the book I brought to help start out and he said "It's amazing how much you are ahead of the average student!" or something to that meaning. Then he said I should practice some of the pages with articulation over the week. I said "I try to practice twenty minutes a day." He laughed then said "It's like pulling teeth to get some of my other students to practice." We took the CD out of the book and out it into the CD player and I could play along to the song. The song was played very fast and I messed up and had to stop playing. He said "That's O.K. You shouldn't be able to play that fast yet. If you could, that would be great!" I found out what I did wrong though, I have a tendency to not arc my left hand. That pushes down on some buttons making it sound bad.

He left to get a practice sheet and I played the song again , but with no mistakes and as fast as the CD. It turns out I have to use a different reed because the one I'm using got chipped. He told me that I had my reed positioned wrong, well I got that from him. Because he told me the way to position the reed and I had it wrong.

There is a possibility that I will be going to that collage when I get old enough.

Very soon I think I will ask my dad if I can record my playing and put it on my blog.

We are still doing a lot of packing. We ran out of boxes so Dad had to go to the store to get more. My mom's a little angry and confused about why he has to spend $100 on boxes, but I told her we need all the boxes we can get. We have alot of stuff. So far we don't even have one room totally finished.

We're doing the family room now, but it's taking a while. One reason because nobody wants to do it. My dad says we have to do it, then everyso often he goes to his blog. My mom says we have to do it and when we do sometimes she does the laundry. Even I do it sometimes. I say "We have to do it! You guys keep saying we have to do it, now let's pack!" Then I go off and play war or watch T.V. Even bother the cat sometimes.

It's not fun, even depressing at times, but we have to get this packing done. My mom says "Well we have a month" It was two months not to long ago. Soon it will be time to move.

Como Again

We went to Como Zoo for Fathers Day. This trip I would say went better because the weather was nicer. It was kind of cool and there was a light rain. That felt really good after walking a long time. We got some pictures for Firestar's Virtual Image Zoo. One of them even has me in it (Mom too).

Today in about half and hour we will leave to go to my first sax lesson.

We are doing a lot of packing now that moving comes closer. We just finished taping a few boxes together and putting our movies in it. I got all my computer games for the Wii and Gamecube in a box, and Firestar has been having tons of fun exploring the new open space.

Not much to write now. Tomorrow I will write about my lesson.

A Home To Live In

We found a place to live yesterday Friday June 19. We can only go there though if my mom gets her salary up to $500 or $600 a month. It is low right now because the store I like to help her in is closing, and she quit one of her other jobs. She found a few new ones, but my dad says "We can move to the apartment if you get at least twenty five hours a week even with the minimum wage."

That is where I think we are meant to go. Yesterday we went to look at them and the guy there said he could show us a two bed roomed one, and a three bed roomed one. The two was nice because it had a lot of wood flooring in the front. Me and Dad like wood flooring and cabinets a lot. The problem with the two bed roomed one was that it was small.

The three bedroom was cool when we walked in. We saw a huge room with a porch at the end (all of them have a small porch). It was nice and we room for us to sleep, and a study for the computer. Where my room would be is right next to the study, so if I don't forget I will ask my dad if we can put a door like the closets there in (the closets are sliding doors) between my room and the study. The problem with it was there was no wood. A few wood cabinets, but no wood floor. The porch there too felt a little unsteady, and I don't want to test it out much, because if it breaks, you would fall three stories.

During the day maybe even at night, there is a pool outside, so if we can get in by August (which is when we plan to leave) we can go swimming. In the main building where you rent the apartments and town houses, there is a place where you can exercise any time of the day for free. There is three of those things were it has places to put your shoes, and a treadmill.

This what the treadmill looked like, except more high tech.
This is kind of what the stair climber looked like, except it was much bigger and looked like the treadmill, but had the foot places.

Alone

My mom said that I could go to a huge grocery store by myself on Thursday June 18. I was at the store helping my mom and she noticed that the cash register had no change left in it. She said, "Would you be so kind to go over to the grocery store and buy two paper towels with twenties? Make sure you buy them separately so we get more change." The store was about one hundred yards away so it was no big deal.

I went to the store and went in search of the paper towels (they were also in need of paper towels). I forgot that they moved the towels to the other side of the football field length store. I walked to the wrong end and was confused looking through every aisle. I saw at the total end of the store the paper towels and got them in about ten minutes. It should of taken me five, but I forgot they moved them.

By chance there were people at both self checkouts so I waited casually. I was waiting with my back to the checkouts and I saw a bax of doughnuts for $1.99. My mom said I could get anything under three dollars, but had to pay with a twenty. So I got the doughnuts.

The self checkout took awhile because I was going to fast for it. After about ten minutes I was able to buy everything with three twenty dollar bills and get out.

My saxophone skills are coming along pretty good now. I can play almost any song that t go to high because I can't play the higher notes. In the book we bought I can play the hard songs, but not the easy. The easy ones use higher notes, and I'm not sure what one of the symbols mean. The hard ones use lower notes, and I consider myself to be pretty good at those.

I can play the melodie to this on the saxophone. This was the only version I could find that was good, and we just watched a movie with this person in it, so this is what I picked.

Saxophone Teacher

We found out that there are a lot of teachers for the sax. My band teacher said that he knows the one at Northwestern Colleage so we will be going there Monday June 22 for practice.

My playing has been coming along well. I am learning to play different notes and I can now play songs out of the book we got for the sax.

My mom is now quiting one of her jobs because they aren't giving her enough hours, but she has already got another job. This job does not pay as much, but as I say, would you rather have $9.00 an hour five hours a week. Or $7.00 an hour forty hours a week.

This is short of what my sax looks like.

Saxophone!

Saturday June 13th We went to music store to look at some saxophones. Our garage sale ended for the week and we thought we could get a saxophone. We got to the store and saw the brand we wanted, but for almost twice as much as expected.

It was $2899 for a good one it looked like. We only had about $2000. We rented one though. To rent one we have to pay $60 dollars a month for 12 months, but the payment goes to any sax. We got the brand we wanted, but a student line. The girl said a student line would be good to start.

So we now have a sax that the proffesional said was scary how fast I was picking it up.

Balloons!

At my mom's job two days ago (Tuesday June 9) my mom let me blow up four balloons and one with helium. I popped the first because I was bouncing it around and it hit a corner of glass and popped.

I made three more. I would have only made two, but one was not the color I thought it was. I mostly made them to try and tie them. I have never known how to tie a balloon until now. Mom opened the door to see how windy it was. She said "It's not windy at all!" So I took one of my balloons outside. It flew away. It didn't have helium so I chased after it. Just as I was about to grab it, it popped on the grass.

I made a helium one and I was trying to dribble it. After a while I let it fly up and I was holding on to the end of the string. It popped when it got up.

When I got home I played with the balloons some more. I was hitting one with my wolf staff and it popped in mid air. My last balloon, I grabbed a huge plastic bat and was hitting it. It hit the ceiling. it popped.

"That's a dollar and fifty sense in the hole," I said.

"No! It was a dollar and fifty sense toward your fun!" said my mom.

I will never totally understand my mom.

Como Zoo

Today (Monday June 8) we went to the Como Zoo. My dad said that he was bored of just doing the garage sale (which is doing very well) and stuff around the house. He said "We should have fun somewhere that isn't at home," that is what he said.

We had a pretty good time at the Como Zoo. We got a lot of pictures and saw some cool animals. The conservatory wasn't as good as usual because the sprinklers were never on. The main room smelled like root beer and one of the rooms next to it was so hot my pants and shirt were sticking to me.

I put ten dollars in my pocket to buy something and then when I got home, I couldn't find it. I was wearing jeans and i put it in the small pocket in a pocket I think and it fell out.

My dad said I could buy this cool staff. It was a staff that was about four foot five inches tall, was completly made of wood, and had a cool wolf head on the top. All of it was painted. It cost $21.75, but my mom paid with a Visa so it didn't madder I had no money.

Cold and Rainy

Today and yesterday were cold and rainy. It wasn't a terrible day. I could stay inside and play Lego Batman with my dad. I also got to finish my Bazna story and start a new story.

Biking has been difficult in this weather, but my dad took me over to my mom's job in the car anyway. I got bored after an hour because there so many people there I was doing the same thing over an over again. I was there just in time for the afternoon rush. The whole front room (which could hold about twenty people) was full and all wanted me to blow up balloons.

That is fun for a little bit, but after the thirtieth balloon it starts to get boring. I called my dad and he took me home and we played Lego Batman for an hour and had spaghetti for supper.

Over the next month I might be posting a legion story here because I made a character on the superhero creater that makes the name. The name was the same as one that was already there, so I will write it on my blog.

SUMMER!

Today is the first dat of summer! The few problems is that my mom is very sick. My dad is dizzy when he stands up. It's windy so stuff keep falling over, and my dad wants me to help him with the garage sale so I can't ride my bike.

Overall though, I think it will be a good day. So far at about 10:30 we have made about $15. That doesn't sound like much, but we have been making $8 every ten minutes, and if that keeps up my dad says we'll have over $400 by the end of the day.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Today (Thursday 6/4/09) was the last day of school! Me and my friends had great fun today.

In first hour (science) we went outside and had a snowball fight with wadded up pieces of paper.

In second hour (band) we watched our concert (which was on Tuesday 6/2/09 and I will ask my dad if we can put it up) and my and a friend were making finger shadows on a wall half the time.

At lunch I talked a lot to annoy a friend which took a lot of my breath away.

In third hour (art) we watched the short fills before animated movies (about two minutes long).

Fourth hour (language arts) we finished a speaking thing we were doing and wrote down with every letter of the alphabet something about it.

Social (fifth hour) we went outside and said things that we remembered about what we learned and played three corners (four corners but with three).

Sixth hour (math) we helped our teacher move stuff from his room to my language teacher's room. I carried big poster boards to her room, and with no help had to lift them up about ten feet. Each one had to weigh twenty pounds. Our math teacher in the middle of the year said he went to space camp. So today someone printed out an astronaut picture, and we put our teacher's face on it. All of us signed it and we gave it to him. I got the impression he didn't like it. At the end of the hour, we all started to chant summer, summer, summer, and when the bell rang we jumped in the air and screamed and yelled.

This school day was pretty good.

Our garage sale has been up for two days now, this is the third. We made about $150 the first day and $200 the second day! Today we haven't made very much, but that's how it goes. Overall we have made around $400. If you add my money, we have $831.75 about. That's getting close to halfway to the sax!

Garage Sale Off to a Great Start!

About a week ago now, are garage sale made some money. We aren't starting it until Thursday (June 4) but our neighbors came over and bought some stuff. I said in a different post that if we make $2000 we will buy a saxophone, well we made a huge contribute to that. Our neighbors bought a game for three dollars! So only $1997 to go!

In our garage sale we now have everything priced, and my dad's sister brought some stuff to sell, but she gets that money. We were going to set up today, except my dad said that Saturdays aren't good days to start garage sales, and on top of that it is very windy out. I had some trouble riding my bike back and forth from my mom's job.

My friend was supposed to come over yesterday ( May 30) but instead I came over today. After that we went around a huge food store on our bikes and went up a huge hill. We staid up there for a while and coming down was AWSOME! We were going at least 30 miles an hour coming down.

On my way back from the store before that, there was someone on the path. The path changes after a while, but this part was only wide enough for one person. So I thought I 'd be the nice guy and get off the path. Well the path is higher than the ground so when I got off my bike fell over. I was not hurt, but my bike's rear tire brake got loosened. When I got home I saw the wire was not attached to the bike. My dad came out and we fixed it.

About a week or two ago we bought a grill. So tonight we are having once again, steak.

Nice Day

These past few days have been really nice, so I have not had a chance to be writing. I can't be outside and writing on this at the same time. A friend of mine has been interested in me 'working' at my mom's work. He has been coming over. Yesterday (May 29) he came over and fooled around alot. We biked over to a store next to it and bought root beer. I spilled about half of it coming back.

We played volleyball with a balloon in the back room for a while. That was fun. After a day there we came to my house and now he says he'll be coming over more now that he nows where I live.

As I alresdy said, it has been really nice out. So I will not be writing as much on this blog. The weather here has been high 60's to low 80's, so biking outside is where i'll be most of the time.

Garage Sale and a New Saxophone Are Linked

We are having a garage sale this month, and probably throughout the summer. If in this garage sale we make around $2000 my dad said we certainly would go out and buy a tenor saxophone from a music store we have been going to.

I have been wanting to get a sax for quite some time now. We just don't have very much money. I first got my interest in saxes at the end of 4th grade. Band didn't start until 5th grade, but at the end of 4th grade we got to try three instruments and pick the one we liked best. I tried the tuba, baritone, and sax. I picked the tuba. I don't mean to brag, but both my band instructor and his wife, who taught band at the elementary school, say I am very good, far ahead of my fellow students. When I asked my band teacher if I could get lessons from him for the sax, he got nervous. He got nervous because he thought I was changing from the tuba to the sax. The reason that made him nervous was that a good tuba player doesn't come around too often, and he said that the tuba is an important instrument in a band.

I got it straightened out that I only wanted to learn how to play the sax and was asking if I could get private lessons from him. He said when you want to play an instrument that your not going to play in band you have to get lessons elsewhere. So now we are going to try to get lessons from the music store.

My band teacher said to tell him what type of sax we were going to get before we got it, and the price, so he could say if it was a good deal. We gave him three types when we went so one of those should be good. When we went the guy there let me hold one of the saxes I was going to play, a tenor. It was really heavy, but not as much as the tuba.

So in a few weeks, maybe a few months, we will likely be buying a saxophone.

Weekly Video or Song

Here is this weeks video. This is a farely new Potter Puppet Pals. If you don't know who Harry Potter is, you probably won't get this, but if you do it will be hysterical.

Sorry that this is late. I got a little distracted over this week.

That is this weeks video.

Finding a Job

Over the past few months, I have been looking for ways to earn money. I think I have found one. My moms store is run by a nice person and she lets me come in and help my mom. On days when she works 3:00 to 8:00, I bike over to the store. It's only about a mile so it only takes me about five minutes. My mom and to a lesser sort, my dad, were kind of paranoid about me going through an intersection to get there. The particular intersection is a very busy street, so they have good reason to worry. My dad almost caught killed in that intersection from a car running through a red light.

I'll bike over to the store when school is out, so I get there around 4:00 to 5:00. Depending on if I have an after school snack. I come in through the back and leave my bike there. What I like doing best there is when my mom lets me, which now is always, work the cash register. I also like to work the balloon machine, it's a party store. They have a big helium tank. All you have to do is push a button, but it's fun anyway. On Memorial Day (Monday, 5/25/09) someone came in and I accidentally broke one of the balloons putting it on the machine. That is a little hard because the balloons have to be on tight, so the thing you put it on is a little to big.

Also there my mom will let me climb the big ladder and take down display balloons and pinatas. We take them down and either put them back into the computer, or blow back up the balloons.

Every so often when I bike over, my dad lets me stay over, and me and my mom order pizza. That only happens on weekends though. I will bike back home at about 6:00 if I don't stay for supper and that is an afternoon of my life. After all that is done, my mom pays me $10 -$20. Now my dad got her to start paying me a wage. She said she'll think about paying me half of her salary(around $3.50 each). That may not sound like alot for either of us, but my mom said she might do it.

In only few years, I will be able to get hired by a store and get a real wage.

Why Do People Have To Lie?

About a week or two ago, my mom came and said that her boss said that no one liked to work with her. The reason she said was that my mom gives ideas to people when they say they're bored. My mom tells them they could do some work and her boss said people hate it when she does that. A few days ago, my mom came home and said she asked some of her coworkers why they didn't like working with her. They said they didn't dislike being with her. One girl actually said that my mom said that she hated somebody, and she never said that. So her boss, who she took to be a friend, was actually the one who didn't like her, and only she and a new girl didn't like working with my mom.

I don't see the point in lying to everybody. People say they want you to tell the truth, but when you do, they get angry. About a month ago, I was running my pencil eraser along one of the school hallways, I didn't know it was wrong. It wasn't leaving any marks. A teacher caught me and a friend doing it and we got sent to the principle. She said that there was only two janitors, so one of them had to waste his time in cleaning up the stains that weren't there. Later I saw it least four different janitors throughout the day. Another day I saw two in the same place, them I walked down the hallway and there was two more. So even the schools lie.

There is no point in lying, and still everybody around the world does it.

A Preveiw of My Characters

These are the heroes for Legion of On-Line Superheroes.

I have created all of these in the past month since I found out about this blog. I have just never got around to making a blog of my own. I have been busy at school, practicing my instruments, and having time to ride my bike.
Ursus has bear powers. He has the ability to turn into a bear, and has retractable claws. He does not have a name for his bear.

Timber Sword has lightning, wolf and ninja powers. He is incredibly fast, and also has claws on his right hand. He also does not have a name for his wolf.

Bazna has ninja powers, and bird powers. His pet dog (Ackla) can shoot out a sonic beam. Bazna has two high caliber pistols, and can launch a lightning bolt out of his ninja staff.

Lady Edna is an elf that lives in the desert. She doesn't really have powers except she can shoot a beam of light, and other things out of her staff, and she has a very high resistibility to attacks, and is strong.

Electroide (I spelled her name wrong on the website) has very powerful lightning and storm powers. She carries with her a huge canon and ammunition case. Her gun is a sniper, and with a flick of a switch she can change it to a machine gun.

Blitz has fire powers, can fly, and has a high immunity to everything. His whip will turn to flame when takin off his belt. Draco(the dragon) flies along with Blitz all the time. Tie (the tiger) patrols his hideout, and Coy (the coyote) scouts around his hideout looking for intruders.

Here are the villains for Legion of On-Line Superheroes.

Tigris has the power to turn into any animal she wants to. When she dies as one of the animals, all that happens is she can never turn into that animal again. The animals next to her always help her execute her crimes.

Sarge is a retired army general. He has a business selling weapons. He isn't really a bad guy, or a good guy, but if I had to chose, he would be a bad guy.

Sssnaze is a huge python with arms and more than one tail. He can stretch his neck up to two feet and has with him at all times, a poisonous, small snake, and a python. His staff can temporarily take away the powers of somone, and can shoot a blast that would kill a human.
Basenar is a human that got morphed into a bat. His goal in life is to kill Blitz. His gun he got from Sarge, and it has unlimited ammo. The bat that flies beside is a messenger to tell him if Blitz is near.
